The Country Club is one of America’s oldest courses, being one of five clubs that founded the USGA and is set to host their 17th USGA Championship, second-most among all U.S. courses. The course is home to some of the greatest moments in golf history, most notably the fabled upset by Francis Ouimet in 1913, deemed “the Greatest Game Ever Played.” The U.S. Open has not been here since Curtis Strange’s victory back in 1988 and most recently hosted the U.S. Amateur in 2013. The Country Club also hosted the Ryder Cup tournament in 1999.
