2014 Super Bowl @ MetLife Stadium

Posted by: Princeton Group | Posted on: December 13th, 2013 | 0 Comments

The 2014 Super Bowl will be played at MetLife Stadium on February 2, 2014. This marks the first time ever that the Super Bowl will be hosted in a cold weather city and be played outdoors. This also will be the fist time two NFL teams co-host the game – the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Some of you may be asking “Where do I stay? NYC or closer to the Stadium?” There is a train that runs from downtown NYC at Penn Station to directly in front of MetLife Stadium that is just a quick 20-minute ride. For those planning on driving from the city, it is only a 10 mile commute to New Jersey. With its close proximity to New York City, Super Bowl visitors can experience all that the Big Apple has to offer during their trip.

Although this year’s chilly championship may not be traditional, there is certainly no lack of excitement from fans and organizers. Al Kelly, president and chief executive of the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee was quoted, “…little bit of snow adds to the romance and reality of a cold-weather, outdoor, Northeastern Super Bowl.” Fans are showing their excitement by buying up 2014 Super Bowl tickets early, before the NFL playoffs are decided.
